Ways the care plan may reduce avoidable costs
For an eligible dog, medically appropriate same-day discharge and pre-surgical diagnostics coordinated with the referring veterinary team may help place the final invoice toward the lower end of the published range. These pathways are individualized and do not replace medical decision-making.
Medically appropriate same-day discharge
Selected dogs may be able to go home on the day of surgery when anesthetic recovery, comfort, mobility, and medical status make this appropriate. Avoiding an overnight stay can reduce hospitalization cost and may help place the invoice toward the lower end of the published range.
Only one same-day-discharge TPLO appointment can be scheduled per surgical day so that surgery and monitored recovery occur early enough for an appropriate discharge decision. Owners requesting this pathway may have fewer available dates and a longer wait.
Pre-surgical diagnostics through your veterinary team
When appropriate, the surgery team can coordinate calibrated TPLO planning radiographs and preoperative bloodwork with the referring veterinarian. Images or tests may still need to be repeated if they do not meet the requirements for safe anesthesia or the individual surgical plan.
The current single-session bilateral TPLO package includes a mandatory two-night hospital stay.
If the opposite knee later requires a staged TPLO, a reduced second-side package price is available.
